SOPRON ON YOUR DOORSTEP
Step outside the apartment and you are already in the old town. The Fire Tower is around 300 metres away and the Old Synagogue around 150 metres away. The Petőfi Theatre and Liszt Ferenc Cultural Centre are also nearby.
The charming cobbled Fegyvertár Street outside the apartment connects Templom Street with Orsolya Square. It takes its name from the municipal armoury that operated here between 1619 and 1778.
The city stored weapons here to equip poorer citizens who had no arms of their own in the event of an attack. When the armoury was no longer needed, its stock was auctioned in 1778. The street’s name still preserves its memory.

Historic buildings, cafés and restaurants are close at hand. Gambrinus House is approximately 250 metres away.
The Lővérek hills are around 2.8 km away and are well worth visiting for woodland walks and hikes. Sopron railway station is roughly 900 metres from the apartment.
